Despite Black Adam receiving less than stellar reviews with critics, accruing 40% on Rotten Tomatoes, fans are shown to be loving it thanks to the fact that it has introduced a lot of new characters into the DC Extended Universe (including members of the Justice Society). Not only did the audience finally get a glimpse of their powers, but it was filled to the brim with new costumes in a long line of well-designed suits for characters.
Fitting within its more fantastical style, the costumes in Black Adam all nail in giving the characters designs that feel straight out of a comic book panel. Some of them barely changed anything from what could be seen in the comics while still effectively translating them into live-action form.
8/8 Honorable Mention: Sabbac
Although he is the villain, Sabbac’s design when he emerges to fight the Justice Society and Black Adam does retain accuracy to the comics. From the horns to the red skin to even the glowing pentagram sprawling across his torso, Sabbac does indeed match his comic book counterpart.
The design is updated just enough to fit in live-action and also the actor Marwan Kenzari. Although the characterization of Sabbac was hardly anything to write home about, many views would agree that his overall look was a strong and imposing design for a demon.
7/8 Cyclone
