‘Hit a nerve’: Kanye throws shade at Trevor Noah

For the second time this week, Kanye West has named-dropped South African comedian Trevor Noah in his ongoing social media rant – this time for using the tagline “White Lives Matters” in his latest fashion collection.
The rapper and designer sparked controversy this week at Paris Fashion Week over the “racist” phrase, which seemingly counters the human rights movement “Black Lives Matter”.
But Kanye clapped back at all his critics, which included Vogue fashion editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, who found the slogan “offensive and insulting”.
The outspoken star previously lashed out at Trevor Noah earlier this year – calling him a racial slur – following The Daily Show host’s condemnation of his behaviour towards the his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

After naming-and-shaming Karefa-Johnson on his Instagram account – and telling her to “ask Trevor Noah”, Kanye West was met with widespread backlash.
Models Gigi Hadid and Hailey Bieber as well as various fashion industry players and Black Lives Matter activists condemned the rapper for his “bullying” approach and his “White Lives Matter” fashion stunt.
Hours later, Kanye deleted his IG posts, sharing an update with his followers that he had “agreed to disagree” with the editor on her views. He also claimed that he had met with the woman over dinner where they chatted for “two hours”.
