Jenna Ortega has made a strong impression with her iteration of Wednesday Addams in the latest Addams Family adaptation, Netflix’s Wednesday. Ortega has earned praise for her role as the eponymous character from critics and audiences alike, with several of her iconic moments from the eight episode series going viral since Wednesday’s release in November. A moment of particular note came in episode 4, which saw Wednesday attend the Rave’N Dance at Nevermore Academy in a black dress and perform a peculiar choreographed number that mesmerized both the on-lookers in the series and real-life viewers.

Since the Wednesday episode 4 dance sequence went viral, it has become a TikTok trend to recreate the dance to the 2011 Lady Gaga song “Bloody Mary,” which lends itself well to the scene due to its macabre lyrics. The chorus of the song exclaims “I’ll dance, dance, dance/With my hands, hands, hands/Above my head, head, head,” similar to the choreography for Wednesday’s dance. Lady Gaga herself has now hopped on the trend in glamorous fashion, posting her tribute to Wednesday Addams on TikTok with a fitting caption while dressed in a similar high-collar gothic schoolgirl style to the character.
