Ray Parker Jr. appeared on The Masked Singer as Sir Bug-a-Boo, but he admits he couldn’t breathe when he was wearing his costume on stage.

Ray Parker Jr. doesn’t mind not having to wear his The Masked Singer costume ever again as he couldn’t breathe as Sir Bug-a-Boo. The “Ghostbusters” singer appeared during Fright Night and was the second contestant eliminated. Linda Blair appeared as Scarecrow and self-eliminated because she wasn’t on the show to win but to raise awareness for her animal rescue foundation. Ray had a lot of horror-related clues, and his Ghostbusters hints made panelists think someone from the movie might be behind the furry green costume. Snowstorm made it through to the semi-finals but was eliminated and revealed as comedian Nikki Glaser.

Unfortunately, The Masked Singer contestant admits he couldn’t breathe very well in his Sir Bug-a-Boo costume. In an interview with Fox News, Ray said of his costume, “It’s hot inside. You can’t breathe. You’re trying to read the lyrics. You’re trying to sing. You’re trying to perform. It gets even hotter because they turn all those hot lights on.” However, the musician also says The Masked Singer was a great experience, and he’s happy he did it. He also spoke about “Ghostbusters,” revealing he didn’t expect it to become so popular. Ray performed Mitch Ryder’s “Devil With a Blue Dress On” as Sir Bug-A-Boo and later sang “Ghostbusters” after his reveal.
