Las Posadas on Olvera Street: A pre-procession activity for ages 3-12 is a children’s pinata, 6:30 p.m. Dec. 22-24. The procession begins at the Avila Adobe, 7 p.m. Dec. 22-24 (a statue of Mary and Joseph are carried, Dec. 22-23; and Mary and Joseph reenactors, and with baby Jesus statue display on Dec. 24). Winter Wonderland at Wildlife Learning Center: Enjoy seeing the rescued animals, the holiday lights decorations plus children may make an ornament at a craft table and take part in a scavenger hunt, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Dec. 23 and Dec. 31. Admission $18; $16 children. Reservations, required, are by time. The Wildlife Learning Center has been giving, since 2007, “displaced, rescued, and zoo-born wild animals a home” (read more on the website).
